What are PVC banners used for?

PVC banners, also known as vinyl banners, are versatile and widely used in various industries. These durable banners are
primarily used for advertising and promotional purposes due to their high visibility and weather-resistant properties.
Businesses often utilise PVC banners to showcase their products, services, or upcoming events at trade shows,
exhibitions, or outdoor locations. Additionally, PVC banners are commonly employed for informational purposes, such as
displaying important announcements, directions, or safety instructions in public spaces. Their flexibility and
affordability make them an ideal choice for indoor and outdoor applications.

What are the benefits of using PVC banners?

PVC banners offer a multitude of benefits that make them an excellent choice for various applications. Firstly, PVC
banners are highly durable and weather-resistant, ensuring they can withstand harsh outdoor conditions without fading or
tearing. Additionally, PVC banners are lightweight and easy to install, making them convenient for both temporary and
permanent displays. They also have excellent print quality, allowing for vibrant and eye-catching graphics that
effectively capture attention. Furthermore, PVC banners are cost-effective compared to other advertising mediums, making
them a budget-friendly option for businesses and organizations. Lastly, PVC banners are versatile and customisable,
offering endless possibilities for design and size options to suit specific needs. Overall, the benefits of using PVC
banners make them a reliable and effective marketing tool in various industries.

How long do PVC banners typically last?

PVC banners, known for their durability and weather resistance, typically have a lifespan of around 5 to 7 years.
However, this can vary depending on various factors, such as the quality of the PVC material used, the environmental
conditions they are exposed to, and how well they are maintained. With proper care and regular cleaning, it is not
uncommon for PVC banners to last even longer, up to 10 years or more. Regular inspections and repairs can also help
extend their lifespan. It’s important to note that these estimates are based on general industry standards, and
individual results may vary.

Do you charge extra if I need several banners all with different artwork?

No, You can upload or create different artwork for each banner you order from us – at no extra charge.

Can I specify the number and position of eyelets?

Yes you can, we do not charge any extra for this.

What’s the biggest size banner you can print?

Our machines print on rolls up to 5 metres in width. Larger banners can be welded together in sections – so there is no
limit. Huge banners in exposed locations though are better on our Mesh banner material.  i.e A banner at
a
size of 10m x 5m would be produced in one piece as the smallest dimension is 5m or less.  Where as a banner at 10m x 6m
would have one welded join as the smallest dimension is larger than 5m.

How long will my banners last?

This depends on several factors including fixing method, location and usage. Fixed correctly and left in place, your
banner could last for years.

Will my banners be sent plain wrap?

Yes. All items will be shipped in plain packaging with no branding inside or outside of the package.

Do you charge for finishing?

Finishing is free for most finishing i.e. hem and eyelets, pole pockets etc. Finishing that is not described in the
finishing section on ordering could be subject to an additional charge.

What is your Eyelet specification?

Nickel plated eyelets with 12mm diameter holes spaced approx 500mm apart unless otherwise stated.

Can you ship worldwide?

Yes we can. Please email your requirements for a quotation.

What is the print process?

Our premium banners are printed using a large format 5m wide UV jet printer.

How large can you make banners?

We can make banners as large as you require. Sizes over 5m in any one dimension will require a welded join.

Is the material flame retardant?

Yes. Our PVC Premium is flame retardant to comply with all EU/UK regulations.

Can I request a sample of this material?

Yes, sample materials are available upon request from our Samples Page.

Can this material be printed double-sided?

No. This product is only printable single sided only. For double sided banners you will need to purchase our Double Sided Blockout banner.

Are PVC banners waterproof?

Yes PVC banners are completely waterproof making them the ideal solution for low cost outdoor advertising.

Can they be rolled up when not in use?

Yes providing the banner is not too large, we recommend any banners with the smallest dimension of 2.5m or more are
folded when not in use. It is best where possible when rolling banners to roll them around cardboard tube. Make sure if
the banners have been used and removed to be used again at a later date that they are dry before rolling.  This will
prevent banners getting damp when rolled up.

Are there other finishing options other than hem & eyelets?

Yes we offer a range of finishing instructions at no extra cost which can be found on step 2 of the ordering process. If
you have specific instructions then select other and put a description in the additional notes box.  We also offer
optional extras like Reinforced hem & Reinforced stitched pockets.

How heavy will my banner be?

Our Premium PVC banner is 500gsm, which means it is 500 grams per square metre. As an example a banner 10m x 5m (50sq
metres) would weigh 25kg. (50sqm x 500g =25000g)  25000g (25kg)

I want to order multiple banner of different sizes, How do I do this without incurring minimum order charge for each
size banner?

There are 2 ways in which this can be done.

1. Add up the total sq metres of all your banners.  For example, if this comes to 50sqm then simply order x1 banner at
50m x 1m as this is 50 sqm and you will be charged the correct price.  Then write a total breakdown in the additional
instructions box of how many of each banner is required.

2. Email us with a breakdown of what you want to order along with the artwork and your billing & shipping address.
One of our sales team will then email a quote back to you. on approval of this quote a pro forma invoice will be issued.

How should PVC Banners be stored?

PVC banners should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. They should also be stored flat or rolled
up to avoid creasing.

This material type has been tested for flame retardancy to UK and EU regulation standards.

We are unable to produce individual test certificates for each bespoke item.

Buying banners with confidence
You can order banners with confidence. Each order goes through several checks before production. Upon receiving your job, all uploaded files are reviewed and cross-referenced against the order. If any artwork is incorrect or missing, you will be contacted to provide updated files. Most banners and fabrics are manufactured at a large-scale print facility, ensuring quality and efficiency. The standard turnaround time is 5–6 working days for delivery. Even though much of the ordering process is automated, manual checks are performed to ensure everything is accurate before production begins. If any questions or issues arise, you will be contacted promptly.

Processes
The following outlines how orders are processed: each order undergoes multiple reviews before printing. A file-checking service is included as standard, providing assurance that orders and corresponding artwork are accurate. If any issues are identified, you will be contacted before the order proceeds.

Initial checking service
When an online order is placed, artwork is cross-referenced against the order. At this stage, sizes and file types are reviewed to ensure they match the order. The correct number of artwork files is also verified. If anything is amiss, the order is placed on hold, and you will be contacted immediately.

Order processing
Once an order passes the initial checks, it moves to processing. All job details, including finishing and material specifications, are consolidated. This information is then forwarded along with the artwork to the pre-press department, where the job is prepared for printing.

Pre-press and second checking service
Pre-press is the stage where artwork is converted into a format suitable for printing and finishing. If any issues are identified at this stage, you will be contacted again before proceeding.

Printing and tracking
Orders are batched with other items using the same material. Each item is assigned a unique code for tracking purposes. This code ensures that material, quantity, and finishing specifications are correct as the order moves through the print facility.

Finishing printed items
Each job is unique in terms of size, material, shape, and finishing. Printed items are finished according to the custom specifications provided in the order. Automated finishing processes help reduce costs, which are passed on to customers. Whether it’s hemming and adding eyelets or creating pole pockets, each product is handled according to its specific requirements.

Packing items
Once items are manufactured, they proceed to the packing department. Orders are checked against codes, wrapped securely, and packed for dispatch.
